I did a lot of research as I always do when I am looking for something to meet my needs. Some are fancier than this one (i.e. looks like a hang bag) and some are cheaper (i.e. the plastic ones that many places give them out for free). I made my decision to get this one because I wanted something that I am not required to use the rolls of poop bags. What I mean is, my neighborhood has poop waste stations installed and they have free poop bags for us to use. Well, they are not really free since I am sure the cost is buried in the Home Owner Association (HOA) and Community Owner Association (COA) fees that I pay for throughout the year. I needed something that will hold the folded up poop bags from the poop waste stations. This means, I don't have to use the roll up poop bags, if I don't want to. I also want a bag that will hold the roll up poop bags, just in case I don't have a folded up one on hand. This bag is very well made. The material is thick and sturdy; the bag holds its shape. The velcro that is used to mount onto the dog leash/retractable leash is very long. No need to worry that it is not going to be long enough to wrap around the leash and to secure the bag on the leash. I use a small retractable leash. The velcro wrapped all the way around the handle and there is still some excess velcro left.A piece of velcro is used to secure the flap that folds over the bag to keep it close. there is an opening where the bags are threaded through one at a time. If you are like me who wants to fold some poop bags up and put it in this bag, you can easily do that by removing the roll of poop bags. If you want to keep the roll of poop bags in there, there is still some room left for you to store some folded poop bags in there. This bag came as pictured - with 2 rolls of 15 ct poop bag that matches the color of the bag. The poop bags are supposed to be scented to mask the poop smell. I haven't tested it out, but I am not really concerned with poop smell since 1- my dog is little and 2- there are usually poop waste stations or trash cans wherever I go that I don't have to carry the poop around for long. The poop bags are pretty thick. They are thicker than the ones I have used and bought. Because of its thickness, the bags shouldn't rip while you are trying to tear one out.For those who use a retractable leash like I do, this bag will shift around slightly. It's because if you were to look at the bottom part of the handle on the retractable leash, it is in varies width. Depending on where you want the bag to situation, it could shift a little, but it shouldn't be a problem. Referencing the picture, look at the position of the velcro on the bag. This bag will sit facing out to one of the sides of the leash. Depending if you are right handed or left handed, you might want to have the poop bag opening on the bag facing the right way so that you can easily access the bags without having to keep shifting the hand that holds the leash while using the other to get the poop bag. Just a thought. :-)I really like this little bag, and I am going to order another one for the leash in my car.
